Your privacy matters. This page explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over it. We keep this short and plain.
Information We Collect
When you take a quiz on MyProfileType, we collect the email address and name you voluntarily provide in order to send you your personalized results. We also store your quiz answers and the profile result assigned to you. If you reach us through Facebook Lead Ads, we receive only the information you submitted in that ad form (typically name and email).
How We Use Your Information
We use your email address to send you the quiz result you requested, and occasionally follow-up messages related to your profile type. We use your quiz answers and result solely to personalise that communication. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties.
Facebook Lead Ads
If you submit your information through a Facebook Lead Ad connected to MyProfileType, that data is transferred to our systems via Meta's Lead Ads webhook. By submitting a Facebook Lead Ad form you also agree to Meta's own data policy. We handle the received data under the same terms described in this Privacy Policy.
Email Communications
After taking a quiz you will receive at least one email containing your profile result. You may receive additional emails related to your profile type. You can unsubscribe from future emails at any time by replying to any email with the word "unsubscribe", or by contacting us directly at alex@myprofiletype.com. We will remove you promptly.
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in a private PostgreSQL database hosted on dedicated server infrastructure in the EU. We use industry-standard measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure. We retain your data for as long as necessary to provide the service and to comply with any legal obligations.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at alex@myprofiletype.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you are located in the European Economic Area you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Cookies
MyProfileType does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies. We may use strictly necessary cookies to maintain session state during a quiz (e.g. to prevent the page from reloading mid-quiz). No advertising cookies are set on this site.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the bottom of this page indicates when it was last revised. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
